Chinese President Xi Jinping has met with South African President Jacob Zuma, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and Russian President Vladimir Putin in Fortaleza, Brazil.
In talks with Zuma, Xi said that planned cooperation will strengthen the strategic partnership. Zuma expressed a welcoming attitude toward participation of Chinese companies in the development of South Africa.

While meeting with the Indian Prime Minister, President Xi pledged to promote China-India relations to a higher level, and to safeguard peace and stability. Modi expressed that both sides need to promote mutual understanding, and face global challenges together.

While meeting with Vladimir Putin, President Xi said more cooperation should be conducted in terms of military and security. The two leaders also exchanged opinions on issues related to Syria and Afghanistan.
