Emphasizing the terrorist nature of the East Turkestan Islamic Movement, Chinese officials urged the United States to abandon "double standards" in addressing terrorism, and understand and support China's effort to strike the "East Turkestan" terrorists.
China and the United States jointly condemned and opposed terrorism of all forms at the dialogue co-chaired by Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Cheng Guoping and Tina Kaidanow, Coordinator for Counterterrorism at the State Department.
