BEIJING, July 11 -- Yang Gang, a national political advisor, has been stripped of his Communist Party of China (CPC) membership and his official post for "serious violation of discipline and law", the Party's disciplinary watchdog said on Friday.
According to the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI), Yang, former deputy head of the Committee for Economic Affairs of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), was found to have taken advantage of his position to seek interests for others, taken huge bribes and committed adultery.
The CCDI has handed over his case to prosecutors for suspected infringement of law, it added.
