LONDON, March 11 -- Lord Sassoon, the chairman of China-Britain Business Council (CBBC), said here Wednesday that China's "new normal" can bring opportunities for British business.
At the third Annual China Business Conference hosted by the CBBC, Sassoon said China is undergoing a period of further transformation.
He suggested British companies to look beyond the slowdown of China's economic growth. He believed China's growth is still rapid.
"Companies need to understand how demand patterns are changing and look at this vast continental market as a series of very different opportunities," he said.
He believed there will be deepened trade and investment relationship between Britain and China.
The term "new normal" gained ground in China in May 2014, and it is used to describe the need to remain cool-headed as economic growth slows.
The third Annual China Business Conference attracted hundreds of delegates from Britain and China.
The conference covered many topics about China's ongoing transformation, including reforms in sectors of education, innovation and entrepreneurship, as well as healthcare.
CBBC is a Britain-based organisation helping Britain companies grow and develop their business with China. It has worked with China for 60 years.
