BEIJING, Dec. 16 -- The provincial government of southeast China's Fujian Province and the Malaysia-China Business Council jointly held "China’s Fujian-Malaysia Economic and Trade Promotion Fair" on Wednesday in Putrajaya city, Malaysia.
Vice governor of China's Fujian province Zheng Xiaosong said, Malaysia is the biggest trading partner of Fujian's among ASEAN countries. Last year, the foreign trade volume of Fujian totaled 150 billion U.S. dollars,and the trade volume between Fujian and Malaysia amounted to 5.1 billion U.S. dollars.
As an important linking point of the 21st-century Maritime Silk Road, Fujian has developed a comprehensive plan.
Fujian is looking forward to working together with countries along the maritime Silk Road including Malaysia to seek common development, Zheng said.
He suggested Fujian and Malaysia further expand bilateral trade, increase mutual investment, improve bilateral cooperation mechanism, and overcome difficulties and problems encountered in a timely manner.
