BUDAPEST, June 16 -- A three-day exhibition to showcase China's mechanical, electrical and light industry products began on Monday in Budapest.
The 2014 China Machinery, Electronic and Light Industry Products Exhibition - Central and Eastern Europe have attracted exhibitors from Shandong, Zhejiang, Beijing and Shenzhen.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Zhu Zhongxing, deputy director general of trade development bureau of China's Ministry of Commerce, said that Chinese companies have a strong will to expand international markets, especially new markets.
Zhu added that holding exhibitions is part of the efforts made by his bureau to boost commerce exchanges and cooperation between Chinese and Hungarian companies.
A China Export Products Exhibition will be held in Hungary in the second half of this year.
The Chinese and Hungarian governments also support a project to establish a Central European Trade and Logistics Cooperation Zone (CECZ)with the goal to gradually build up a market with a modern logistics distribution center and highly-efficient information management systems in central and eastern Europe that can provide Chinese companies with comprehensive services.
