Deliveries of Boeing airliners to China have soared more than 60 percent so far this year, and are still accelerating.

"We will deliver significantly more than 120 aircraft by the end of the year compared with 80 in 2012," says Marc Allen, president of Boeing China.

"We're starting to hit on all cylinders in the marketplace," he says. "Our partnerships here are cementing lasting habits of confidence and trust, and our innovative products, especially the Boeing 787, are turning heads."

Deliveries now are the result of orders placed months ago. Most of the aircraft are Boeing 737 NGs, although there are now five 787-8s in China.

In the next 30 days, the 787 fleet in China will be in double-digits by then, says Allen.

Such growth brings its own challenges. "With all these aircraft entering service in such a short space of time, we must execute perfectly," he says.
