China Southern Airlines, a major Chinese carrier, is expected to open four international routes connecting south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region with Thailand, Singapore and Vietnam.
The opening of the routes, which are expected to start on October 27, will promote the booming economic ties between Guangxi and southeast Asian countries, according to the airline on Wednesday.
They include a Guilin-Nanning-Bangkok route, a Guilin-Nanning-Singapore route, a Nanning-Phuket (Thailand) route and a Nanning-Danang (Vietnam) route.
Guangxi, which borders Vietnam, is a bridgehead for China's cooperation with southeast Asian countries.
Guilin boasts a beautiful landscape and Nanning is the regional capital.
