SEOUL, Feb. 18 -- A group of South Korean lawmakers will visit Beijing this week and meet Chinese leaders, including top legislator Zhang Dejiang.
Over 40 South Korean lawmakers, headed by Rep. Chung Mong-joon of the ruling Saenuri Party, planned to visit Beijing Thursday on a four-day trip, an official at the Chung's office told Xinhua on Tuesday.
The parliamentary delegation, which is the largest since the two countries established diplomatic ties in 1992, will hold talks with Zhang Dejiang, Chair of China's National People's Congress (NPC) Standing Committee.
The delegation of lawmakers from both ruling and opposition parties will come there at the invitation of Zhang.
The South Korean lawmakers are also expected to meet Chinese President Xi Jinping, the official said.
