NEW DELHI, Nov. 11 -- Foreign ministers of China and Russia have hailed the new momentum of development in China-Russia ties this year, as is reflected in a set of new outcomes in cooperation in all fields between the two neighbors.
During their meeting here Sunday evening, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and his Russian counterpart Seigei Lavrov agreed that under the guide and promotion of the leaders of the two countries, China-Russia Strategic Cooperative Partnership is showing a more active momentum of growth.
The two foreign ministers said the two countries should keep exchanges of high level visits to make them play a more essential role in bilateral relations.
China promised to support Russia to host the Winter Olympics next year, while Russia would back China to host some planned international meetings, including that of APEC, they said.
The two sides also greed to strengthen cooperation in economy and trade, energy, humanity and culture and tourism.
China and Russia will also strengthen consultation and coordination over Korean Peninsula, Iran nuclear issue, Syria and Afghanistan.
The two foreign ministers attended the 12th China-Russia-India trilateral foreign ministers' meeting in the Indian capital. They will also attend the Asia-Europe Foreign Ministers' Meeting (ASEM) here Monday.
