"On this day of celebrating the founding of the People's Republic of China, I am pleased to express to Your Excellency my warmest regards and wishes for good health and happiness for yourself as well as the progress and prosperity of the friendly people of China," he said in the message carried by the Mauritanian News Agency on the eve of China's National Day, which falls on Oct. 1.
"I guarantee to Your Excellency our desire to reinforce and develop the existing brotherly relations between our two countries for the benefit of our people," the Mauritanian leader said.
