Senior officials of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and the Communist Party of Cuba agreed to strengthen bilateral ties in Beijing on Tuesday.
The pledge came out of a meeting between Liu Qibao, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and head of the CPC Central Committee's Publicity Department and Rolando Alfonso, a member of central committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and minister of the Central Committee's Ideology Department.
Liu spoke highly of the relations between the two parties and two countries, saying China is ready to strengthen exchanges with Cuba on party and national governance and expand cooperation in various areas.
Alfonso said his country attaches great importance to ties with the CPC and China, hoping to deepen exchanges and cooperation.
