SANTIAGO, May 27 (Xinhua) -- The United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) on Monday published a special electronic edition in Chinese language of its ECLAC Review.
The special edition, including 15 articles on economic relations between China and Latin America and the Caribbean, is designed to help promote business between the two sides.
"China's trade with the region has grown twice as quickly as that with the rest of the world," said the ECLAC in a statement.
Articles in the special edition reviewed the expansion of China's economy over the last decade, and analyzed the opportunities it offered to the world, especially Latin American and Caribbean countries.
In China, the review was launched in October 2012 in Beijing, during an event organized by ECLAC and the China Development Research Foundation (CDRF).
"This special edition is an open invitation to Chinese researchers to have their work published in the ECLAC Review." said Alicia Barcena, ECLAC executive secretary in the statement.
The ECLAC Review was launched in 1976 by Raul Prebisch, one of the main inspirations behind the organization, and has been the means of disseminating ideas from the research community within the commission and the region in general.
