CHANGSHA, March 5 -- A car lost control and ran into a crowd at a vegetable market in central China's Hunan Province, killing four people and injuring eight others on Wednesday.

A pickup truck ran down a ramp and into a crowd at a farm produce market in Huitong County on Wednesday morning. Three people were killed on site while another died in hospital.

Police are looking into the cause of the accident. The truck's driver, surnamed Zhang, is in police custody.
