BEIJING, Feb. 18 (Xinhua) -- A former head of a Beijing Rural Commercial Bank (BRCB) branch went on trial Tuesday after being charged with taking bribes totaling more than 13 million yuan (2.1 million U.S. dollars).
Han Lifeng, 43, is accused of taking bribes from two real estate developers when he was head of the Pinggu branch of BRCB from 2011 to 2012, according to the Second Branch of Beijing People's Procuratorate.
Han took advantage of his post to help the two developers get loans and delay repayments, according to the the prosecutors.
Han was detained in September 2013.
The Beijing No.2 Intermediate People's Court will deliver its verdict at a later date.
