A policeman was arrested after he allegedly shot a woman dead and injured another on Monday in south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, said local authorities on Thursday.
Head of Pingnan County's public security bureau, where the policeman worked, as well as five other lower-ranking police officers, were suspended from their duties for investigation on Thursday afternoon, according to a statement released by the Public Security Bureau of Guigang City, which administers Pingnan county.
The policeman surnamed Hu went to a rice noodle shop to buy food after drinking alcohol at about 10 p.m. on Monday. He shot and injured the female shop owner surnamed Wu and her husband after a brawl with them.
