About 7.2 million passengers are expected to take flights during this year's National Day holiday, up 8.3 percent year on year, the Civil Aviation Administration said on Friday.

Among the temporary flights, 2,464 will be bound for major domestic tourist centers such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Wuhan, according to a statement from the administration.
Twenty-six flights will shuttle between the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong, 14 to and from Macao, and another 34 to and from Taiwan.
Some 1,274 international flights will be added to hot foreign tourist destinations like Bangkok, Seoul and Siem Reap.
