Six die after falling into E China well

Six people died on Tuesday after falling into a well in east China's Jiangxi Province, the local government said on Wednesday.

According to an official statement from the city of Jingdezhen, two farmers fell into a well while trying to get water for crops.

Five others, realizing the two farmers were missing, went to the well to rescue them, but also got trapped.

Four died after being rescued from the well and two died while trapped in the well, according to the government statement.
