The activity “Help rural children with psoriasis” was launched in Beijing on July 6. The charity project is planned to last three years aiming to help children suffering from psoriasis in rural areas.

An 8-year-old boy from Inner Mongolia became the first beneficiary of the project. He has been suffering from psoriasis since he was 6. Luckily, he was brought to Beijing by volunteers in April, and recovered after about two-month’s treatment. He was so happy because he could go back to school and play with other friends again.

Mr. Zhang Gen, president of nm18.com (one of the sponsors), introduced the reason for launching this activity. He said that it may cost about 10,000 to 20,000 to treat a child with psoriasis, which was really a heavy burden for rural families. He said he wants to help more children in the future.
