Nearly half of Chinese employees work inefficiently or are absent-minded at work, a Hay Group research revealed yesterday.
"An important reason is that many Chinese companies haven't provided working conditions that enable their employees to produce their best work," said Mark Royal, a senior principal at the management consulting firm's research division.
The research showed only 62 percent of Chinese employees said they are willing to make more efforts and devote more to their employers, lower than the global average of 66 percent.
