Hou Shusen holds talks with chief of staff of Bangladesh Army

BEIJING, August 28 (ChinaMil) – Hou Shusen, deputy chief of general staff of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA), held talks with Iqbal Karim Bhuiyan, the visiting chief of staff of the Bangladesh Army, on the afternoon of August 27, 2013 in Beijing.

Hou Shusen expressed that the relations between the Chinese and Bangladeshi militaries have been well developed over the years, as evidenced by in-depth and pragmatic cooperation in many fields including high-level reciprocal visits, personnel training, exchanges among academies and equipment technology. The Chinese side is willing to make joint efforts with the Bangladeshi side to strengthen exchanges and deepen pragmatic cooperation, so as to constantly push forward the relations between the two militaries to a new high.

Karim said that the Bangladeshi military regards the Chinese military as a sincere friend and partner, and hopes to constantly deepen friendly exchanges and pragmatic cooperation in various fields between the two militaries.

Before the talks, Hou Shusen held a welcome ceremony for Karim and accompanied him to review the guard of honor of the PLA Army.
