CHEBARKUL, Russia, Aug. 12 (ChinaMil) --The "Peace mission 2013" China-Russia joint anti-terrorism military exercise held a joint meeting on the morning of August 11, 2013. After listening to the recommendations made by the campaign headquarters of both sides, Pan Liangshi, commander of the Chinese campaign headquarters and commander of the 39th Group Army of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA), made campaign resolution for this joint military exercise.
The joint meeting started at 10:00, local time, when Gu Hongwei, deputy chief of staff of the Chinese campaign headquarters and deputy chief of staff of the 39th Group Army of the PLA, and Mordoviechauve, commander of the Russian battle group, presented each side's recommendation for the campaign resolution respectively. Both sides proposed the plans in terms of the campaign tactics, combat organization, overall support and so on for the joint anti-terrorism operation.
After that, Pan Liangshi summarized recommendations from both sides and made up the campaign resolution for the joint anti-terrorism operation, with clearly defined tactical issues, such as the relationship of command between both participating troops, joint anti-terrorism operation and so on. Specific matters such as sending command liaison teams to each other, and integrating and coordinating the combat activities of both participating troops were also determined.
On reviewing the campaign resolution, Shi Xiangyuan, chief director of the campaign headquarters on the Chinese side, said that during this joint exercise, the campaign headquarters of both sides have jointly organized high-quality operations and the battle groups on both sides have fluently carried out coordinated training, which embodies excellent campaign and tactical competency and cooperation spirit on the part of the campaign commanders as well as the participating troops of both sides. Chuvakin, deputy chief director of the Russian Directing Department, said that both the Chinese troops and the Russian troops have achieved further in-depth understanding and trust mutually through a series of joint organized implementations of campaign planning, actual-troop training and so on.
It is learned that the campaign headquarters of both sides will formulate joint operation plans according to the campaign resolution in the next step, and organize the participating troops of both sides to carry out exercise on maps and actual-troop coordinated training.
The joint meeting was attended by 60-odd staff of the directing departments and campaign headquarters from the Chinese and Russian sides.
