BEIJING, Nov. 3 -- The second batch of inspectors which were divided into 10 groups have started inspections in designated organs, according to a statement publicized Sunday on the website of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Commission for Discipline Inspection.

The inspectors have been sent to Xinhua News Agency, Ministry of Land and Resources, Ministry of Commerce, China Three Gorges Corporation, and the provinces of Shanxi, Jilin, Anhui, Hunan, Guangdong and Yunnan, according to the statement.

Wang Qishan, who heads the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection as well as the CPC Central Committee's inspection leadership group, noted last week that the first round of inspections that started in May have found clues of corruption and led to stern punishment of wrongdoers.

The second such inspection will focus on violations such as power-for-money deals, bribery and corruption and influence-peddling, according to the statement.

Formalism, bureaucratism, hedonism and extravagance, which were considered as four forms of undesirable work styles by the CPC Central Committee, will be primarily targeted by inspectors during the inspection, the statement noted.

In addition, violations of political disciplines and illegal official promotions will also be major inspection items, the statement added.
