BEIJING, Jan. 3 (Xinhua) -- The Palace Museum has published a catalogue detailing the contents of its collections, according to a statement issued by the museum on Thursday.
The catalogue contains information on both precious and general cultural relics, as well as ceramic items, the statement said.
The contents of the museum's collections are divided into 18 categories, including bronzeware, enamel vessels, sculptures, religious artifacts and foreign cultural relics.
A second catalogue featuring another seven categories is due to be released at a later time, the statement said.
The catalogue is the result of efforts to sort the museum's contents between 2004 and 2010 and features corrections to the previous catalogue, the statement said, adding that the catalogue will help the public to supervise the museum's work.
