Chinese women curlers felt ready for the Winter Olympics after their first practice session at the Ice Cube here on Saturday.
China skip Wang Bingyu said she was satisfied with the stadium and the atmosphere.
"I like the sound of sliding and rocks hitting here," she said.
The Chinese side, coached by Canadian Marcel Rocque, will open against Canada on Monday, with an ultimate goal to win a medal.
"Ten days is so long, so we will take them one by one," the skip said.
Rocque spoke highly of the Ice Cube venue, saying it was built by the best ice makers in the world.
The Chinese women curlers won the country's first ever team medal in the winter Olympic history as they took a bronze at the Vancouver Olympics in 2010.
