Yi Jianlian, a former NBA player, snatched 26 points and 10 rebounds to help Guangdong Hongyuan beat Fujian SBS 113-92 to extend their winning streak to nine at the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league on Sunday.
Guangdong have won all the nine matches of the 2013-2014 season so far, leading the runners-up Shanghai Sharks, which will play their ninth match Wednesday, with three points.
Fujian established a three-point lead in the first quarter, but Wang Shipeng and Chen Jianghua scored three-pointers to overturn the visitors' lead into the second half.
Yi Jianlian, 26, spearheaded Guangdong to build a 20-point lead in the early final quarter.
Wang Zhizhi, a former player of NBA Dallas Mavericks, notched a game-high 37 points and helped Bayi Fubang to beat the visiting team Shanxi Fenjiu 115-110.
In Sunday's other matches, Shandong Gold edged Sichuan Jinqiang 74-70; Xinjiang Guanghui won over Zhejiang Guangsha 108-100; Liaoning Hengye conquered Tianjin Ronggang 114-101 and Zhejiang Chouzhou defeated Jilin Northeast Tigers 118-87.
