Serena Williams wins fifth U.S. Open title

World number one Serena Williams of the United States won her fifth U.S. Open title after beating Victoria Azarenka of Belarus 7-5, 6-7 (8-6), 6-1 on Sunday.

The defending champion collected her second Grand Slam champion after winning the French Open earlier this year.

It was the 17th overall Grand Slam title for the 31-year-old tennis legend.
