China players advance to quarterfinals in badminton Indonesia Open

JAKARTA, June 13 (Xinhua) -- Chinese players march forward to vie in quarter finals of all five events in 2013 Indonesia Open super series badminton championship with four women doubles pairings secured berths in the round.

The no. 1 Wang Xiaoli/Yu Yang will play Indonesian hopeful pairing Anneke Feinya Agustin/Della Destiara Haris after they stopped South Korean and Indian pairings to secure berths in quarterfinals.

Another Chinese pair Ma Jin/Tang Jinhua would contend Pia Zebadiah Bernadet/Rizki Amelia Pradipta.

No. 8 seeds Bao Yixin/Cheng Shu will meet Indonesian players Nigtya Khrisinda Maheswari/Greysa Polii in the quarterfinals. Meanwhile, the no. 5 Chinese pairing Tian Qing/Zhao Yunlei would vie the winner of a qualifying match between Indonesian and Japanese players.

China' s Cai Yun/Fu Haifeng, the no. 5 men doubles pair will take on Indonesian opponents Mochamad Achsan/Hendra Setiawan after they brushed aside Indonesian pairings to get the quarterfinals.

The no. 7 Lu Xiaolong/Qiu Zihan from China withdrew from the match against England players Chris Adcock/Andrew Ellis and sent the English pair into the quarterfinals.

In the men's single and women singles events, China secured two berths in quarterfinals after Du Pengyu and finalist of 2012 Indonesia Open Li Xuerui successfully trashed their opponents in their respective matches on Thursday.

The no. 8 Chinese player Du Pengyu takes on Indonesian hopeful player Hayom Rumbaka, meanwhile Li Xuerui, seeded no. 1, stopped Japanese player Kaori Imabeppu in today' s match and to will play South Korean player Bae Yeon Ju in the quarterfinals.

Chang Nan/Zhao Yunlei, China' s players seeded no.3 secured a mixed doubles quarterfinal berth after beating their South Korean contender Baek Choel Sin/Ye Na Jang. Ma Jin/Xu Chen, the no.1 mixed doubles players were scheduled to play against Indonesian players Markis Kido/Pia Zebadiah later in the evening to vie for a berth in quarterfinals.
