Chinese stocks opened lower on Monday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index losing 0.64 percent to open at 2,055.13 points.
The Shenzhen Component Index slid 0.7 percent to open at 8,110.8 points.
Trading of China Everbright Securities is suspended due to investigations of abnormal deals made by the brokerage company.
The China Securities Regulatory Commission and the Shanghai Stock Exchange are jointly investigating a large number of purchase orders sent from the Everbright Securities' trading account.
The stock market saw its greatest fluctuation in six years on Friday when the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index spiked by around 100 points, or 5 percent, within two minutes during morning trading, with turnover totaling 7.8 billion yuan (1.27 billion U.S. dollars).
