NEW YORK, June 19 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar rose against other major currencies Wednesday as Federal Reserve chairman Bernanke said the central bank could reduce its bond-buying program this year if the economy continues to improve.
In late New York trading, the euro dropped to 1.3274 dollars from 1.3405 dollars of the previous session. The dollar bought 96. 41 Japanese yen, higher than 95.29 yen of the previous session.
