SINGAPORE, June 17 (Xinhua) -- Singapore stocks finished higher on Monday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 22.01 points, or 0.7 percent, to close at 3,183.44.
A total of 1.85 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1. 22 billion Singapore dollars (976 million U.S. dollars).
Gainers outnumbered decliners 260 to 162, while 518 others finished unchanged.
The STI index gained 30.74 points, or 0.98 percent, to close at 3,161.43 on Friday.
