CHICAGO, Nov. 15 (Xinhua) -- Gold futures on the COMEX division of the New York Mercantile Exchange fell sharply Thursday, after a World Gold Council report said that global demand had weakened in the third quarter.
The most active gold contract for December delivery fell 16.3 dollars, or 0.94 percent, to settle at 1,713.8 dollars per ounce.
