KABUL, April 14 -- Afghan police backed by the army have killed 14 Taliban militants and injured six others during series of operations across the country over the past 24 hours, Interior Ministry said in a statement released here on Monday.
"The operations which covered parts of Kabul, Nangarhar, Kandahar, Wardak, Logar and Helmand provinces during which 14 Taliban rebels have been killed, six injured and 20 others arrested," the statement said.
It didn't say if there were any casualties on the security personnel. Taliban militants have yet to make comment.
