BRUSSELS, March 18 -- NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen will visit the U.S. capital on Wednesday to receive the Hillary Clinton Award for Advancing Women in Peace and Security.
According to a NATO press release published on Tuesday, Rasmussen will deliver a speech "Leading by Example: Women, Peace, Security and NATO" at Georgetown University.
After that, he will visit the Brookings Institution and deliver a speech titled "The Future of the Alliance: Revitalising NATO for a Changing World" there.
NATO said that Rasmussen will also meet senior U.S. government officials during his visit.
