Exclusive interview with cofounder of Blueseed

San Francisco, Jan.16, (People's Daily Online)--Working on a cruise ship 12 nautical miles from the coast of San Francisco can help many entrepreneurs get rid of the working visa limitation in the United States. That's why Blueseed is considered as the world’s most amazing upcoming startup community for entrepreneurs.

Since the idea was announced in 2011, it has been a hot topic not only in the high-tech circles but also on the media pages.

Three years later, Dario Mutabdzija, cofounder and CEO of the project told the reporter that he still cannot tell when the community will be completed.

The cruise ship is planned to locate in the international water close to Silicon Valley, the world's creation and innovation center, which allows startup entrepreneurs from anywhere in the world to launch or grow their companies near Silicon Valley, without the need for a U.S. work visa.

Dario said that more than 1,500 entrepreneurs from 500 startups in over 70 countries have expressed interest so far in living on Blueseed.

It's an exciting and rosy project. However, "Blueseed has more challenges than other companies because our idea is a novel one. It's a new concept," said Mutabdzija. "some potential business people, investors and banks are a little bit more hesitant to work for the Blueseed because it's a new unproven concept.”
