PARIS, Sept. 27 -- Three were killed in an explosion erupted on Friday afternoon at a garage in the 10th arrondissement of Paris and another was seriously injured, according to local channel BFMTV's report.
The accident occurred at around 3:45 p.m. local time (1345 GMT) at a garage in the basement of a three-storey building on the Rue d'Enghien in central Paris, breaking down part of the ground floor of the building when four workers were trying to repaired the old fuel tanks, local media said.
French newspaper Le Parisien reported on its website that the manipulation of the fuel tank could be the cause of the explosion.
Firefighters had evacuate the building to reduce the risk of collapse.
Interior Minister Manuel Valls visited the scene of the tragedy shortly after 5 p.m.
