A mortar shell slammed the Russian embassy in Syria's capital Damascus on Sunday, causing slight injuries to two people, according to Russia Today TV.
The report spelled no further details, but the mortar has apparently been fired from the hotspot district of Brazeh, where intense clashes have been raging on for days between the rebels and the Syrian government army.
The Damascus residents have become used to daily mortar attacks from restive suburbs ringing the capital.
A day earlier, three people were killed and many others wounded when mortars slammed the suburb of Saida Zainab.
