6.2-magnitude earthquake hits Queen Charlotte Islands

BEIJING, Sept. 4-- A 6.2-magnitude earthquake hits Queen Charlotte Islands off the west coast of Canada at 4:19 a.m. Wednesday Beijing Time, the China Earthquake Networks Center said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 10 km, was determined to be at 51.2degrees north latitude and 130.4 degrees west longitude, the center said.
