KABUL, Aug. 11 -- Three soldiers of the NATO-led coalition forces were killed Sunday in insurgent attack in eastern Afghanistan, the coalition confirmed in a statement.
"Three International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) service members died following an enemies of Afghanistan attack in eastern Afghanistan today," the ISAF said in the statement.
The statement gave neither the nationalities of the victims nor the details about the incident under the ISAF policy.
Troops mostly from United States have been stationed in eastern Afghanistan within the framework of ISAF to curb Taliban-linked insurgency there.
Casualties of Sunday's attack have brought the number of foreign soldiers killed in Afghanistan to 117 this year.
