We’ve also got the latest response from China’s Ministry of Commerce as Shen Danyang, the spokesman of the Mofcom told a press conference Wednesday afternoon that China will follow the case very closely.
"Mofcom, together with China’s quality supervision authorities, attach great importance to the New Zealand milk powder scandal. We’ve requested the New Zealand side to inform us of the latest investigation results immediately. We hope they adopt concrete measures, in order to prevent their products from harming Chinese consumers’ health. We also hope New Zealand will strengthen its supervisions on exported products. We’re calling for Chinese importers to recall tainted products as soon as possible." Shen Danyang said.
