CAIRO, April 29 (Xinhua) -- Thirty-eight Egyptian students were hospitalized due to food poisoning in the capital Cairo on Monday, official MENA news agency reported.
The students of al-Azhar University felt sick after having lunch at a dining hall on campus, located in Nasr City in eastern Cairo, medics told MENA.
The students have been moved to nearby hospitals for medical treatment, with no deaths reported.
According to the report, the meal contains rotting tuna.
Earlier this month, more than 500 students at al-Azhar University were hit with food poisoning. Protests over the incident led to the sacking of University President Osama al-Abd.
