ALMATY, April 6 (Xinhua) -- The Almaty round of nuclear talks between Iran and the P5+1 ended here on Saturday, said a source in the Iranian delegation to the two-day meeting.
"Plenary sessions won't resume, the negotiations are over," the source said.
Earlier, a source in the Iranian delegation told the Interfax news agency that the talks had been interrupted for consultations but would resume soon.
European Union foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton and chief Iranian negotiator Saeed Jalili were expected to give briefings to sum up the talks.
Representatives of Iran and the U.N. Security Council's five permanent members -- the United States, Britain, France, Russia and China -- plus Germany, known as P5+1, as well as the EU began a new round of talks here on Friday.
