2017 APEC summit kicks off in Da Nang, Vietnam

The 25th Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders’ Meeting kicks off today, Nov. 10, in Da Nang as leaders of the 21 member economies arrive in the coastal city in central Vietnam. At the two-day summit, leaders are expected to consolidate the momentum of APEC cooperation. The four priorities for discus-sion include promoting sustainable, innovative, and inclusive growth; deepening regional economic integration; strengthening the competitiveness of micro, small, and medium enterprises; and enhancing food security and nutrition and sustainable agriculture, said Pham Binh Minh, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Vi-etnam.

ASEAN to increase exchanges, deepen cooperation with China: forum delegates

The 2017 Tuole Forum on “China-ASEAN International Production Capacity Cooperation” was held in Panzhou, Liupanshui, in southwest China’s Guizhou Province on Nov. 9. At the forum, ambassadors and diplomats in China from Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Laos, Singapore, and other ASEAN countries said they expect to deepen China-ASEAN exchanges and cooperation, so as to achieve win-win results in production capacity investment, tourism, energy, and building materials.

Chinese president arrives in Vietnam for APEC meeting, state visit

DA NANG, Vietnam, Nov. 10 (Xinhua) -- Chinese President Xi Jinping, who is also general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, arrived in this Vietnamese city on Friday for the 25th Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders' Meeting and a state visit to the southeast Asian country.
