At the other side of India financial and economic centre, Mumbai, there lies one of the biggest slum areas of the country. Residents live in shabby, congested rooms, and craps are seen everywhere. But life in Mumbai's slum area is not all about poverty and pessimism, some people started to open shops, to send their children to school and to do business. According to one of the residents, most slum area in Mumbai now have power and water supply, public toilets and local people can enjoy medical assistance in public hospitals free of charge.
