McGregor Hall in McTyiere School for Girls

Considered the best girls' school in Shanghai, the Gothic structure was completed in 1935. It contained 11 classrooms and a hall with nearly 2,000 seats. The Soong sisters, Soong Ching Ling, Soong Mei-ling and Soong Ai-ling, attended the school.

$&<b>American Club</b> Built around 1930, it was once called the Stars & Stripes Club. It included three, two-story Baroque-style buildings; but only one survives. The indoor playground is a laboratory of the Shanghai Institute of Biological Products and the swimming pool is still in use.
